| | crushed | ] | I went to Staples this morning to finish up a project. I got there just as they opened to make sure I could get this done today. A man was already in line before me printing a lost cat flyer. He went with color which is around .89 each and printed 100 copies! He hesitated at first, but after thinking of his beloved cat and his wife at home still worried, he paid the $90 and went next door for a few minutes. I started my stuff and didn't think much about it. He then came back and started talking to me about what I was printing. We talked about bands and music and really started to hit it off, when the lab tech handed him the phone. The man then hung up the phone pushed the stack of lost cat flyers and just said "he's dead" and walked out. I didn't even have the chance to say anything. I wanted to drop by his house and give him the CD I was working on, if that would bring some type of smile to the situation, but the phone numbers on the flyer are cell phones.

This week marks something new to sample on the buffet that is THE DROP. THE DROP: Spotlight is an look into an album that we, around the offices, absolutely love. For the debut Dan talks with long time Virginia native, Timothy Bailey. The Spotlight is on his recently released Ep entitlted Ecoutez! Ecoutez!. Released on Cherub Records in June, Bailey seems to be channeling Tom Waits, circa 1980s REM and the man in black himself, Johnny Cash. Call him a genius, call him a dreamer of dreams just dont call him Tim. Download it today! |
